Volunteer and Job Opportunities in Aquatics
Positions Available:
Lifeguard - Must have current certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Lifeguards ensure the safety of all participants in the aquatic facility and promote a pleasant and sanitary environment. Minimum age is 15.
Hours: 7 days a week from 5am-10pm- various shifts available. (Schedule is flexible)
Swim Instructor- Provides a safe and comfortable environment while teaching water safety, stroke development, comfort in the water, and games. Should have current CPR, First Aid, and Aquatics teaching certifications. Minimum age is 16.
Hours: Monday-Friday 10am-8pm, Saturday 8am-1pm (Schedule is flexible)
Instructor Aide – Support Swim Instructors during lessons by providing additional supervision of students, assisting the instructor with water safety, running games, and helping students become comfortable in the water. Must be able to tread water for 2 minutes and swim front and back crawl. Minimum age is 12.
Hours: Monday-Friday 10am-8pm, Saturday 8am-1pm (Schedule is flexible)
Swim Team Coach- Coaches will help run swim practices and swim meets. Coaches must have a background in competitive swimming. Experience teaching swimming is a plus.
Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00-8:30pm. (Schedule is flexible)
Assistant Swim Team Coach – Assistant Coaches will work with the practice coaches to facilitate workouts, help with stroke correction, and provide additional supervision of the swimmers. Assistant Coaches must have a background in competitive swimming. Experience teaching swimming is a plus.
Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00-8:30pm. Saturday and Sunday, times vary. (Schedule is flexible)
